The Clock-me app runs on iOS (iPhone) and Android. The admin dashboard is browser-based and works on any device — desktop, tablet, or mobile.

No. If geofencing is enabled for a location (the default), employees can only punch in when they are physically inside the geofence radius. Punches from outside the site are rejected in real time by the server — not just flagged after the fact. Managers can adjust the radius per location, and any punch attempt from outside is logged in the audit trail.

Go to Timesheets → select your date range → click Export. Choose CSV or Excel. The file includes all hours per employee, ready to upload to ADP, QuickBooks, Gusto, or any other payroll system.

No. Clock-me never runs location in the background. Your GPS is captured only at three discrete moments: (1) when you punch in, (2) when you punch out, and (3) if your employer enables shift verification, when you tap to respond to a random in-app check-in prompt. Between those moments, we do not know where you are.

For accounts that enable shift verification, employees receive a small number of randomly-timed push notifications during a shift asking them to confirm their location with a single tap. It's a lightweight, foreground-only alternative to continuous background tracking — much better for battery, privacy, and phone-store compliance than the invasive always-on tracking most competitors use.

If you don't respond within 5 minutes, your manager is notified so they know something may be wrong. If you still haven't responded by 10 minutes, your shift is automatically closed at that time. You'll receive a push notification explaining what happened — if it was a mistake (phone died, was in the bathroom, etc.), just contact your manager and they can restore the shift.

No. Clock-me only requires the "While Using the App" permission — the same setting most apps use. We never ask for the scary "Allow all the time" background permission because we don't need it.
